We don’t get out very often, we’re usually beavering away in our workshop, with very little contact with the outside world. So we are very excited to be venturing south to the NEC in Birmingham for UKGE 2025! The biggest games show in the UK; it’s a hustly bustly mass of people who love all things about games. You can read all about it here: Home – UK Games Expo there are still entry tickets available to buy.
We will have four boards set up all weekend for play, you can challenge your friends, or us, if you fancy your chances of beating the makers! Just be prepared to battle the crowds, there’s normally a bit of a queue at our stand, bear with us! We do keep an eye on it and we try to keep game time to a fair length of time to allow others to jump on the board.
This year, we are thrilled to be joined by Ben from Bumblebeard Games. We first met Ben a few years back at another show, he told us that his dream was to design a wooden game. So we set him the challenge of designing a game that would use the waste circle that is left when we cut Carrooka board rails. He rose to the challenge, and Brink was born! Brink is a deceptively simple looking dexterity game that will have you on the edge your seat, as you aim to leave your counters on the brink of tipping off the edge of the board!
Ben will have a Brink board for you to try out, he will also be watching our stand for us on Saturday as Jack and I are busy at a family event- we’re ever so grateful for his help.
We’re on stand number 4-B39, we hope you can find us… just hunt for the crowd of flickers!
We will not have Carrooka boards available for sale I’m afraid, we’ve been inundated with orders this year, but you can at least try before you buy!
